“I am very excited to be once again be doing what I love. I have watched this game since birth, it is who I am. I love the history of this game and the great clubs like the San Diego Sockers, Wichita Wings, Tacoma Stars, Kansas City Comets and Chicago Sting. My favorite players include Paul Wright, Lee Tschantret, Chico Borja, Stan Stamenkovic, Tino Lettieri and Doc Lawson. I am certain with the leadership we have on and off the field, with Carl, Kevin, Pat and me that success is forthcoming and I am proud and humbled to be a part of what we are building here in central Pennsylvania. The HEAT is most definitely… On!”
Dr. Amy Brown, Official Orthopedic Physician Of The Heat
With less than 5% of the nation’s orthopedic sports medicine surgeons being female, OIP is proud to have Dr. Amy Brown as one of our associates. She is the official orthopedic physician for the Heat Soccer and Dickinson College’s athletes. Prior to joining The Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania, Dr. Brown completed her Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Brown was a nationally ranked field hockey player and was selected to the 1999 USA National Field Hockey Team. She has participated in athletics and as a result, Dr. Brown has an in-depth understanding of the needs of athletes of all ages and a unique perspective on the care of female athletes.
