Hugo Silva, a 6’2” goalkeeper from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, returns to the Harrisburg Heat after five successful seasons with the Florida Tropics. Silva, who previously played for the Heat during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, made an immediate impact as a rookie, posting a 5.55 goals-against average, the fifth-best in the MASL, and helping the Heat reach the playoffs. Over his MASL career, he has started 61 games with a 22-33 record, a .684 save percentage, and a 6.29 GAA. Known for his offensive flair as well, Silva has scored three goals and recorded 13 assists, including memorable goals from long range. Named the Florida Tropics MVP in 2018-19, he recorded a career-best 291 saves and a .652 save percentage that season. Last year, despite being limited to three games due to visa issues, he went 2-1 with 39 saves and an impressive .830 save percentage. Silva also led Tropics SC to a UPSL national championship, starting and winning all 18 games. His skill, leadership, and experience make him a pivotal addition to the Heat for the upcoming season.

Roshawn Panton, from Bowie, Maryland, is entering his third season with the Harrisburg Heat. Last season, Roshawn had a breakout year, playing in 23 games and recording 18 goals, 8 assists, and 16 blocked shots, finishing with 26 points and a .281 shot percentage. A standout collegiate player at St. Mary’s College, he was a 3-time All-Region and All-League selection, scoring 27 goals in his three-year career. Off the field, Roshawn is a dedicated youth coach at Touch Kings, serving as Head Coach for the 2013 team and Assistant Coach for the 2008 team.

Thiago Freitas, born in São Paulo, Brazil, is entering his seventh season in the MASL and returns to the Harrisburg Heat for the 2023-24 season. Thiago has an impressive MASL career, with 74 games played, 42 goals, 62 assists, and 42 blocked shots, averaging 1.4 points per game. Last season, he appeared in 13 games for the Florida Tropics, recording 4 goals, 5 assists, and 6 blocked shots. Known for his creativity and playmaking ability, Thiago earned All-Rookie honors during the 2016-17 season with the Heat, where he previously enjoyed standout seasons, including a career-best 37 points in 2017-18. With professional futsal, 7v7, and outdoor soccer experience in Brazil, Thiago continues to be a dynamic presence on the field and a valuable asset to the Heat.

Andrea DiSomma is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is entering his third season in the MASL with the Harrisburg Heat. Last season, Andrea appeared in 16 games, scoring 1 goal, recording 2 assists, and adding 3 blocked shots. He attended Lock Haven University, where he had a standout freshman season, scoring 17 goals, earning All-American honors, and being named PSAC Freshman of the Year. Andrea has also been a key player for Lancaster in the UPSL Premier Division for the past three years.

Zach Perry, a defender from Oviedo, Florida, is entering his second season with the Harrisburg Heat after signing a multi-year contract in February 2024. A standout collegiate player at Dalton State College, Perry earned NAIA Third Team All-American honors and helped his team advance to the NAIA national quarterfinals. In his debut MASL season, Perry appeared in 8 games for the Heat, contributing 2 blocked shots and showcasing his potential as a strong defensive presence.

Malcolm Harris, from Damascus, Maryland, is entering his fifth year in the MASL with the Harrisburg Heat. Last season, he played 22 games, contributing 13 goals, 5 assists, and 18 blocked shots with a .245 shot percentage, bringing his career totals to 37 goals, 35 assists, and 39 blocked shots. A standout rookie in 2019-2020, Malcolm earned Honorable Mention on the MASL All-Rookie Team. He played collegiate soccer at the University of Denver and UMBC, starting every game in his final two seasons with the Retrievers and recording 3 goals and 9 assists. A decorated high school player at McDonogh, he earned NSCAA All-American honors, First Team All-Metro, and was part of the U-15 national championship-winning Baltimore Bays Chelsea team. In the offseason, Malcolm coaches two LFC teams, continuing to showcase his leadership on and off the field.
