Harrisburg Heat continued their scorching start to the MASL 2 season on Sunday morning, rolling past the Salisbury Steaks 13–4 at Carroll Indoor Sports Complex in Westminster, Maryland. The matchup marked the first meeting of the season between the two clubs and served as a “home” game for Salisbury as they continue to navigate venue changes for the 2025-26 campaign.

Despite trailing 3–2 at the end of a fast-paced first quarter, Harrisburg responded with authority. The Heat erupted for five unanswered goals in the second period to seize control and never looked back. They outshot Salisbury 51–15 overall and dominated the final three quarters, outscoring the Steaks 11–1 after the opening frame.

MASL veteran Thiago Freitas delivered a standout performance with four goals and two assists. RJ Fuentes recorded a hat trick, while Seth Crabbe added to his strong start in a Heat uniform with another goal. Malcolm Harris orchestrated the attack with multiple assists, and Gustavo Gomes De Souza tallied two goals, including a pair on the power play. Andrea Disomma also found the net as Harrisburg showcased depth, balance, and relentless offensive pressure.

Salisbury jumped out early behind two first-quarter goals from Joseph Sefoi and briefly held a 3–2 lead, but the Heat’s pace and experience proved too much. The victory improves Harrisburg to 3–0 on the season with 36 goals scored and just 12 allowed, maintaining one of the top goal differentials in MASL 2.

The Heat now travel to face Spice City FC on Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. EDT at Danbury Arena.

Harrisburg will play on March 20th when they come home for their highly anticipated home opener at Hersheypark Arena. Tickets are available now at HarrisburgHeat.com as the club prepares to bring professional indoor soccer back to Hershey.
