December 29, 2016: The Harrisburg Heat, coming off of a disappointing loss to Syracuse last week, look to take on the Eastern Division leaders Baltimore Blast at home on Friday. The Heat is now tied for second place with Syracuse.

“It was, of course a very disappointing loss,” said Denison Cabral, the Heat Head Coach of the loss to Syracuse. “Moving forward, the main focus for us to play all four quarters and not give away at the end.”

The Heat’s loss to Syracuse was cemented in the fourth quarter last week and Cabral wants to see the team do a better job of seeing the game through to the end and not losing momentum built earlier in the game.

Baltimore’s Donatelli leads the team in scores, but Cabral says their strategy doesn’t focus on a sole player.

“We know how dangerous Donatelli can be, and we must make sure he doesn’t have the space and time to score,” says Cabral. “We have to make sure our attack is sharp and energy is high. To succeed in this league you have to get on top of the teams early which will be our goal.”

Heat midfielders Carvalho, Lucio, Gatica and Perez led the scoring for the Heat in the last game against Syracuse. According to Cabral, one of the Heat’s strengths is that they have many players scoring, preferred over relying on one star player. Friday he’s looking for the team to come together, finish their chances and fight until the end.

Friday’s game against the Baltimore Blast begins at 7:35 p.m. at the PA Farm Show Arena. Fan Appreciation will be the focus with a special VIP place for season ticket holders in the beer garden/music venue created by singer/songwriter Kayla Kroh who will perform a set at halftime. Sports memorabilia and giveaways will top off the night. Get tickets: www.harrisburgheat.com.
