The Harrisburg Heat enter the weekend with a record of 1-14-2. Harrisburg picked up a point in their last game against Tacoma when they lost a heartbreaker in overtime. Harrisburg entered the game against Tacoma with five key players unable to play due to injuries and personal reasons. Dallas Sidekicks have a record of 2-15-0. Dallas is currently in sixth place in the Western Conference and have been eliminated from the MASL playoffs this season. This is the first meeting of the season between the Heat and the Sidekicks. The two teams will play again on Sunday in Harrisburg at the Equine Arena.

On January 11th, the Harrisburg Heat signed goalkeeper Jorge Navarrete for the remainder of the season. Navarrete played the previous four seasons for the Florida Tropics along with goalkeeper Hugo Silva. Navarrete has started in the nets for the Heat in their last nine games. He has a goals-against average of 6.15 this season.

Dominic Francis is seventh in the league in goals scored this season. Francis leads the Heat in goals scored with 22 and points with 34. Roshawn Panton is second on the Heat in goals and points as he has scored 10 goals and recorded 5 assists for 15 points. Malcolm Harris has 14 points with 9 goals and 5 assists. Danny DiPrima also has 14 points with 8 goals and 6 assists.
