The back line is led by Danny DiPrima and Pat Thompson and also newcomer and veteran defender and newly acquired Nelson Santana.

Utica City Players To Watch

Joey Tavernese had an outstanding 2017-18 season tallying 28 goals and 26 assists in 22 games played. The supporting cast around him is also strong to include Slavisa Ubiparipovic (23 goals last season), Kenardo Forbes (18 goals last season) and the defensive efforts of Darren Toby whose 34 blocks left him just one place behind current HEAT coach Pat Healey for 3rd place in the MASL.

History of Series

Utica City FC became an organization in the Summer of 2018 as the club moved operations from Syracuse (as the Syracuse Silver Knights) to Utica City. In the 2017-18 season Harrisburg and Syracuse (Utica) Syracuse took the season series 3-1, with the Heat’s win closing out their season. Each game was high scoring with an average of 14 goals scored in each match.
