Harrisburg, PA August 31, 2016– Nikki Schroeder has been appointed Senior Vice President of Operations for the Harrisburg Heat franchise. Under new ownership by Carl Delmont, the Heat has been undergoing a transformation with the hiring of a new coaching staff and development of a new strategy for growth. Nikki brings significant experience and a skill set that encompasses all that is needed to achieve the Heat’s mission of “Fun Fan Experience. World Class Soccer. Guaranteed.” Nikki’s background in fundraising (for example, she is a Board member who was a part of the recent campaign that successfully raised funds for the South Hanover YMCA field house/soccer facility), and sponsorships, sales, events planning and marketing strategy including a strong focus on multi-channel digital marketing makes her a good fit to energize the franchise.
“The Heat is a great institution in the Central Pennsylvania region and more people need to know about them and enjoy the fast-paced sport of indoor soccer! My primary goal is to make each and every game a fun event, with themes, appearances and special promotions to ensure a fun fan experience. Bringing a fresh perspective to the marketing approach to help more people learn about the Heat and to reach a younger crowd for a new generation of Heat fans is a big goal of mine. Look for us to be doing fun things like Snapchatting videos and offering educational tips from the team throughout the season. We want you to get to know this team of athletes so you’ll want to come out and see them play week after week,” said Schroeder.
“Nikki and I have worked together for over a decade on marketing and other projects. She was one of the few people involved before we announced the change of ownership and her background in the community coupled with her marketing and fundraising experience will allow us to achieve our goals for fans, players and sponsors,” added Carl Delmont, Heat CEO and General Manager.
