Heat Defeat Lancers 12-3
The Heat were led by Domenic Francis with three goals and one assist along with JJ Gibson who contributed one goal and three assists to the victory. Other goal scorers included William Eskay, Daniel Villela and Julian Escobar with two goals each. Also, Heat goals were scored by Elton de Oliveira and Danny DiPrima. In addition to the assists recorded by JJ Gibson and Domenic Francis, Tom Mellor chipped in with two assists. Assists were also recorded by Villela, DiPrima, Dylan Hundelt and Nelson Santana.
Game Replay
The Heat scored early in the match as Eskay got on the board at the 1:47 mark of the first quarter on an assist by JJ Gibson. Domenic Francis recorded a hat trick in the first half as the Heat led 7-1 at halftime. The Heat were excellent in specialty team situations as they scored on two free kicks and scored on their only power play opportunity.
Jesus “Chuy” Molina and William Banahene split the game in goal for the Harrisburg Heat. Molina started the game and held the Lancers to just one goal in the first half. He was relieved by Banahene for the second half. Banahene also played excellent in the nets for the Heat as he limited the Lancers to two goals in the second half.
This is the first of six games that the Heat will play the Rochester Lancers. The two teams return for a rematch next Saturday, December 7th at the Farm Show Arena.
