Heat Open 2019-2020 Season Saturday In Rochester, Game Time 7:05PM

The Harrisburg Heat of the Major Arena Soccer League start their 2019/2020 season with a game in Rochester, New York on Saturday, November 30th. The Heat kick off against the Rochester Lancers at 7:05 P.M. The game can be viewed on line at masltv.com.

The Heat are looking to continue the progress they made during the 2018/2019 season. With Head Coach Pat Healey at the helm, the Heat increased their wins by 83% last year as they finished with a 11-13 record. There was also significant improvement during the season last year as the Heat began with a 1-7 record in the first eight games of the year. Over the final sixteen games, the Heat won 10 games including two wins over the Baltimore Blast and wins against Utica City FC and the Milwaukee Wave. Milwaukee was the 2018/2019 champions of the Major Arena Soccer League and Baltimore and Utica were play-off teams last season.

The Harrisburg Heat return seventeen players from their roster last year. In addition, the Heat acquired free agent defender Elton de Oliveira, forward JJ Gibson and goalkeeper Jesus “Chuy” Molina. In addition, the Heat continue to look for and develop young talent. They followed this formula by adding defender Michael DeGraffenreidt, midfielder Malcolm Harris and forward Marcel Berry to the Heat team this year.

This is the first of six games that the Heat will play the Rochester Lancers.

The two teams return for a rematch next Saturday, December 7th at the Farm Show Arena. This will be the Heat home opener and the start time is 7:05 P.M. For tickets, please go to www.harrisburgheat.com. For group discounts or more information, contact Kevin Healey at kevin@harrisburgheat.com.
