Harrisburg Advances To 9-4 On The Season

The Harrisburg Heat defeated the Tacoma Stars by a score of 11-10 in Tacoma, Washington.  The win puts the Heat at 9-4 and in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.  The top four teams make the playoffs.

The Heat started with tremendous energy after traveling across the country to face Tacoma.  Patrick Thompson scored just fifty nine seconds into the game.  Tavoy Morgan followed it up with a nice turn and finish past Danny Waltman at five minutes and fifty one seconds of the first quarter.  Later in the quarter, Dom Francis scored on a penalty kick and Thompson scored again as the Heat opened up the first quarter with a 4-1 lead.

The Tacoma Stars showed great courage by continuing to come back in the game getting within one goal a couple of times during the game.  The Heat accepted the challenge and were able to maintain the lead and get the victory.

The Heat were led by Patrick Thompson who recorded a hat trick in the game.  Elton de Oliveira and Ty Hall also each added two goals in the game.  Additional goals for the Heat were scored by William Eskay, Dylan Hundelt, Morgan and Francis.  Daniel Villela and Danny DiPrima had three assists in the game.  William Banahene had another win in goal for the Heat as he made nine saves in the game.

Michael Ramos also had a hat trick for Tacoma while Nick Perera scored two goals and also had two assists in the game.

The Heat stay on the road next week as they play away games in Kansas City, St. Louis and Milwaukee.  The first game is in Kansas City on Thursday, February 6th with a start time of 8:05 P.M.
