For 45 minutes of play, the Heat were every match for the three-time defending Champion Baltimore Blast. When the third quarter ended it was a 5-4 Blast lead, one they just took back after Tavoy Moran tied it at 4.

The fourth quarter’s first few minutes were all but even until Baltimore stretched the lead, with the Heat going to the sixth attacker and ultimately falling 9-4 and dropping their record to 1-5 on the season.

A lot of praise can be taking out of this match and one where the growth of the Heat is evident, highlighted by Morgan who scored two goals on the night in his rookie MASL campaign. Dominic Francis opened the scoring early with Julian Escobar scoring as well for the Heat.

For Baltimore, Vini Dantas scored 2 goals and had 2 assists in a 4 point showing. Josh Hughes and Jamie Thomas also each scored two for the Blast. Jonatas Melo, Andrew Hoxie and Tony Donatelli each netted one for Baltimore; who scored two goals off restarts and one against Harrisburg’s sixth attacker.

There can be no time to reflect on this result, only the effort as the Heat (1-5) are off for an early 2pm Sunday kickoff against division leaders Utica City FC (6-2) tomorrow in upstate New York.
