Harrisburg Plays Orlando Saturday On Star Wars Night

After five straight games on the road, the Harrisburg Heat of the Major Arena Soccer League return to the friendly confines of the Farm Show Arena for games on Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday, the Heat take on the Orlando SeaWolves.  Kick off is 7:05 P.M. The Harrisburg Heat return on Sunday with a 5:05 P.M. game against the Baltimore Blast.

After going 2-3 on the five game road trip, the Heat have a record of 10-7 and are just one half game behind the fourth place Baltimore Blast as they battle to make the Major Arena Soccer League playoffs. The top four teams advance to the playoffs.  Both games can be viewed on line at masltv.com.

With the team’s success, Heat players are also climbing the leader board in MASL statistics.  Daniel Villela leads the league with 22 assists while Elton de Oliveira continues to lead the MASL with 34 blocked shots.  In addition, Dylan Hundelt has 2 shorthanded goals which also is a league leader.  Dom Francis ranks in the top five of the league in goals scored as he has 27 goals on the year.  William Banahene has an outstanding goals against average of 5.12 and is listed sixth in goalkeeper statistics.

In addition to the excitement and importance of the games this weekend, the Heat will be putting on two great marketing events.  On Saturday, it is Star Wars Night and the Heat players will be wearing special Star Wars jerseys for the game featuring Darth Vader.  Also, there will be a special half time Star Wars show, light saber training sessions and photo opportunities.  Fans will also have the opportunity to win the special Star Wars jerseys.  The jerseys are being auctioned off through http://livesourceapp.com.  You can bid on the jerseys at the game or anywhere with the live source app.  The jersey auction has started and will conclude at 8:45 P.M. on Saturday night.

On Sunday, the rival Baltimore Blast come to town and it is Grandparents Day at the arena.  Characters from the movie Frozen will be at the game along with a family fun area that is present at all Heat games.  The Blast are led in scoring by Vini Dantas and Tony Donatelli who have 28 and 18 goals respectively.  William Vanzela has a 4.36 goals against average which ranks fourth in the league.
