The Kansas City Comets defeated the Harrisburg Heat 7-3 in the home opener for Harrisburg at the Equine Arena in the Pennsylvania Farn Show Complex. With the result, Kansas City improves to 3-0 for the season and Harrisburg drops to 0-2.

Utica City was led by Zach Reget with three goals while Lucas Sousa, Rian Marques, Michael Lenis and Christian Anderaos all contributed one goal each. Nicolau Neto had twelve saves in the win.

Harrisburg Heat had three different players who recorded goals in the loss. They were Dominic Francis, Robert Williamson and Danny DiPrima. Grant Glorioso had nineteen saves in the nets for the Heat.

A major play in the game was the overturning of a Harrisburg Heat goal in the third quarter of the game. The Heat scored what appeared to be a goal to reduce the margin to one goal at 3-2. However, the referees went to the replay system and determined the Heat committed a foul on the play.

The Harrisburg Heat return home next weekend with two games against Utica City FC at the Equine Arena in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Saturday evening’s game will start at 7:05 PM and the game on Sunday has a 5:05 PM kickoff time. For ticket information, go to harrisburgheat.com/tickets or contact kevin@harrisburgheat.com.
