Hundelt and Villela Lead Team To Victory

The Harrisburg Heat defeated the Rochester Lancers 7-3 on Saturday evening in Rochester, New York.  The Heat were led by Dylan Hundelt’s hat trick including a short handed goal in the fourth quarter.  That was Hundelt’s second short handed goal for the season.  In addition, Daniel Villela chipped in with a goal and three assists.

The Heat started the game quickly as Hundelt scored off an assist by JJ Gibson just 45 seconds into the game.  The Heat never gave up the lead as they led 3-1 at halftime.  Additional goals were scored by Tom Mellor, Dom Francis and Elton de Oliveira.  In addition to the three assists by Villela and the assist by Gibson, Matt Braem recorded two assists and Tom Mellor had an assist.

Rochester Lancer goals were scored by Michael Cunningham, Gary Boughton and Peter Dilorenzo.

The Harrisburg Heat continue to play excellent team defense.  Jesus “Chuy” Molina played the entire game in goal and made twelve saves.  Elton de Oliveira once again had three blocks as he continues to lead the league in this category.  Danny DiPrima also had three blocks on the game and Braem, Francis and Ty Hall had two each.  Several other players also had a block as the Heat finished with sixteen blocks in the win.

The victory improves the Heat’s record to five wins and two losses and puts the Heat in a tie for third place in the Eastern Conference.  The top four teams in the conference advance to the playoffs.  The Heat once again go on the road next Sunday as they travel to Utica, New York to play Utica City FC.
