The Harrisburg Heat defeated the Baltimore Blast by a score of 9-5. Combining with the win on Saturday night over Orlando, the Heat improved their record to 12-7 and pushes the Heat ahead of the Baltimore Blast into fourth place in the Eastern Conference.  Baltimore and Harrisburg are both battling for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  The top four teams advance to the playoffs.

The Heat were led offensively by Tavoy Morgan, Dom Francisand William Eskay. Morgan scored three goals and had one assist while also drawing a critical foul in the fourth quarter that led to a Francis shootout goal.  Dom Francis recorded three goals in the game and Eskay had two goals.  The other Heat goals was scored by Marcel Berry.  Berry also contributed two assists in the game while Tom Mellor, Elton de Oliveira and Patrick Thompson also chipped in with one assists each. William Banahene had fourteen saves in the goal for the Heat.

Vini Dantas and Tony Donatelli each scored two goals for the Blast in the loss.  William Vanzela had five saves in the goal for the Blast.

The Heat were excellent in the specialty team play as they went four for four on power play opportunities all in the second half.  In addition, the Heat were able to keep the Blast off the scoreboard in their power play opportunity.

The Heat are now off until March 7th when they play the Baltimore Blast again at the SECU Arena in Towson, Maryland.  After the game on the 7th, the Heat return home for four games to complete their regular season.  The Heat’s next home game is Wednesday, March 11th as they host the Utica City FC at the Farm Show Arena.  Kick off is 7:05 P.M.
