Basso Formerly Played For Harrisburg City Islanders
The Harrisburg Heat have agreed to terms with Stephen Basso, the club announced today. Basso, who formerly played for the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL Pro league, will make his return to Southern Pennsylvania when the Heat begin their new season this fall.
“I couldn’t be happier to be coming back to the Harrisburg area to play,” said Basso.
“I’m very excited to be apart of The Heat in this new era, under new ownership and to be playing for coach Denison Cabral,” Basso explained. “I can’t wait to get things started and look forward to bringing great things to this club, and to its fans and supporters.”
Carl Delmont, CEO of the Harrisburg Heat, added, “Stephen is an elite player, and Denison and I are appreciative of how many quality players are reaching out asking about opportunities with the club. Adding Stephen Basso is a great move for our franchise and signals how serious our plans are for Heat fans!”
Basso has played for other area teams including Crystal Palace Baltimore and Real Maryland Monarchs.
