In coalition with the OIP/Arlington Orthopedics Family of Care and Macaroni Kid, the Harrisburg Heat will host the Newtown Pride FC in the Capital Area Community Cup benefitting local and national community level initiatives that support violence prevention in schools. Newtown Pride FC is based out of Newtown, CT where the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy occurred. Newtown Pride FC uses the platform of soccer to raise funding and awareness to communities across the country about this increasingly important issue we face today.
As public figures and youth mentors we believe that violence prevention in schools starts with creating community level solutions that support safer and healthier homes and schools. We invite you to join us and give a voice for this cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit local and national organizations that support this mission.
