Harrisburg fell to the Kansas City Comets tonight.  The win was an important one for the Comets who have now clinched their playoff spot.

The game began competitively, remaining scoreless for the majority of the first quarter.  Harrisburg showed solid defense until Kansas City posted a goal at 4:53 left in the first quarter.   A second goal at 4:16 secured the lead for the Comets.

Birche posted a score in the second quarter, making it 2-1.  Chantel put one in the net to make it 7-2 at going into half time.

Hugo-Farias teamwork gave the Heat a goal and a strong start to the third quarter.  Basso again scored in quarter 3 making it 7-4.  This would be the last score the Heat would see as the Comets proceeded to rack up goals to make the final score 12-4.

The Comets had a strong showing and are looking to secure another Division title when they take on Milwaukee tomorrow night.

The tight race to the playoffs is front and center as the Heat will defend the house at the PA Farm Show Arena, taking on Florida in back to back games 2/24 and 2/25.  Friday night Harrisburg will have their Celebrity Game, collect clothing for Community Aid and honor area state soccer champs.  Saturday night the Heat will auction off the season’s jerseys, sponsored by Pennsy, benefiting the Harrisburg River Rescue.  Get Tickets www.harrisburgheat.com
