The Harrisburg Heat and the St. Louis Ambush played an exciting and tightly contested soccer match that went into overtime. The Heat emerged victorious with a final score of 6-5.

The Heat got off to a strong start in the first period, with Ty Hall scoring the opening goal at the 12:38 mark. Lesia Thetsane provided the assist, and the Heat took an early 1-0 lead.

In the second period, the Ambush fought back and tied the game up at 1-1 with a goal from Lucas Almeida at 2:33. However, the Heat responded with two quick goals from Malcolm Harris (assisted by Andrew Hoxie) and Dominic Francis (assisted by James Vaughan) to take a 3-1 lead.

The Ambush refused to go down without a fight and scored a goal early in the third period from Duduca Carvalho to cut the deficit to 3-2. However, the Heat continued to dominate on the offensive end, with Francis scoring his second goal of the night (assisted by Harris) to make it 4-2.

The Ambush quickly answered back with goals from Robert Kristo and Almeida (assisted by Wil Nyamsi) to tie the game up at 4-4. The Heat responded once again with a goal from Andrew Hoxie (assisted by Thetsane) to retake the lead at 5-4.

The Ambush didn’t give up and scored a crucial goal from William Eskay (assisted by Antonio Manfut) in the fourth period to tie the game up once again at 5-5, and force the match into overtime.

In overtime, Thetsane (assisted by Francis) scored the game-winning goal for the Heat at the 1:06 mark to give the Heat the 6-5 victory. It was a thrilling match that showcased the competitiveness of both teams, but ultimately the Heat were able to come out on top in a hard-fought battle.
