With the Home Opener tomorrow, the Heat continue to add more talent to their roster as Coach Healey continues to shape the team under his vision. More local and foreign talent have been signed and approved by the MASL. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Returning for his second season is Edgar Godoy, a Hanover Pa resident. While he didn’t see much playing time last season, he has had a strong preseason impressing his teammates and coaches.

Fresh out of Penn State Harrisburg and into the pros is Victor Weaver, another local talent discovered by the Heat Coaching Staff.

Returning to the roster is Brian Davis, who last played under prior ownership. Brian is a big target with an eye for the goal and brings in more experience.

Another target signed is rookie Tavoy “Bull” Morgan, who has extensive outdoor and futsal experience. The Heat discovered him last February and after a strong preseason, earned a roster spot.

Zach Hussier recently graduated from St. Mary’s College in Md and is a promising young keeper who caught Coach Healey’s attention in camp.

French native Matt Braem, nicknamed The Oak in college for his defensive prowess, also joins the team this season. Matt earned All American Honors in college and has played futsal and professional soccer before joining the team.

The Heat open the season against a strong Utica team (formerly Syracuse Silver Knights) on Saturday December 1 at 7:05pm. Tickets are available at harrisburgheat.com and at the door.
