Syracuse dashed Harrisburg’s hope for getting on a winning streak after their big win over the Baltimore Blast last week. Early defensive errors built a quick lead for Syracuse, and Harrisburg was unable to gain ground.

Scoring began as Syracuse scored on own goal in the first quarter.  The Heat’s Ebanks posted a goal to keep it close.  Neto, a former Silver Knight, scored for the Heat to tie it up 2-2.  Tavernese posted another score for Syracuse to end the first quarter, Syracuse 3, Heat 2.

Lucio and Ebanks both scored for the Heat in the second quarter but Syracuse went on the scoring path, dominating the third quarter.

As highlights, Lucio and Tim Mellor both put balls in the net and David Mellor scored his first career indoor goal tonight.  Many new players saw playing time, gaining valuable experience for the Heat.

In the end result, there were too many Heat mistakes that dug a hole they couldn’t get out of or turn around.

The next game is a January 14 rematch with Baltimore at Baltimore.
